Due to the cancellation of the Howard Relays and the Greenway Relays this week, we have added the Miller track meet on Tuesday, April 23. Field events begin at 2:00 and running events at 3:00.

Post Prom
Reminder: Any businesses that are still wanting to donate a prize to Woonsocket Post Prom please contact Tasha Hagman 605-770-1731 for pickup or you may drop them off at the Woonsocket School with Luci by April 24th. Thank you for your support ~Junior Parents


Dear FFA parents,
Congratulations!!!! Your student has qualified for FFA State in their CDE.  We are leaving on Thursday, April 18 at 8:00 from Woonsocket and 8:15 from Sanborn.  The students must be in their OD when we leave.  We are working on their OD this week, for those that don't have a coat. For any football players who are interested in lifting, coach Garrett  Larson will be opening the weight room on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday mornings from 5:30am-7:00am.

Drivers Education
Drivers Ed will take place May 20-23rd  this year. Students must be signed up by April 26th. Click here for sign up information. 


Youth Golf League - Pony Hills
Junior High & High School Students interested in signing up for summer golf league at Pony Hills, please sign up here. The timeframe for this league will depend upon how many teams sign up. If anyone has questions, please reach out to Darin Kilcoin.


Devoted Students
The school year is quickly winding down, and we would like to sneak a few gatherings in yet. With that, the remaining Devoted Students events are planned for March 25th, April 23rd, and May 14th @ 6:00 p.m.  Any 7th -12th grade students are invited to attend. We will meet in Mrs. Rodriguez’s room with supper and a study provided. Please RSVP by letting either of us know, or by sending us a quick message, so we can plan an appropriate amount of food. Blackhawks Basketball Skills Camp
When: Saturday, May 4
Where: Woonsocket Gym
Ages: Boys & Girls 1st - 7th grade
Time: 1:00-3:00pm, 3:30-5:30pm

Dakota Dreams Summer Camp
Students entering 7th and 8th grade in the 2024-2025 school year can participate in free, five-day residential career exploration camps this summer. Hosted on South Dakota college campuses, these camps expose students to various career paths through fun, engaging and hands-on learning. Throughout the week, campers will spend time with instructors, take field trips to area businesses, participate in interactive exercises and more, gaining a better understanding of themselves, their career interests and how their education prepares them for professions. Eligibility
Pre-Eligibility will be printed Wednesday and Eligibility will be printed on Friday, both at 10:45AM each week.


Substitute Teachers
The Woonsocket School District is looking for individuals who are interested in being substitute teachers in the elementary and/or high school.  Individuals who are interested need, at minimum, a high school diploma.  Substitute Teacher Pay: Non-certified - $100.00/day, Certified - $120.00/day, Long term (after 5 consecutive days) $130.00/dayPlease contact the school at 796-4431.

Free, online tutoring available for K-12 students
South Dakota students and families can access a new, online tutoring program, staffed by college students who are preparing to become teachers. The Dakota Dreams Online Tutoring Program offers FREE online tutoring to K-12 students across the state. One-on-one tutoring sessions can help students with their homework, tackle specific trouble areas, and address broader educational concepts.
