Parent Teachers conferences on Thursday. Early out for students at 1:30

Mr. Gross will be here from 5PM to 7PM for P/T conferences.

Combined marching band rehearsals dates:  September 13th the SC 8-12 band will go to Woonsocket (leaving at 8:20 – returning about 10:50). September 21st the Woonsocket band members will come to SC for joint rehearsal from 8:30-10:40


Girls beat Highmore/Harold in the opening round of the CBH Tourney. For the third place match, Kimball/White Lake downed Sanborn Central/Woonsocket (25-18, 25-20). For SCW, Tristan Ziebart had seven digs and six assists. Abby Doering put down six kills and Tesa Jensen had two aces.

Congratulations to this year's All-State Chorus Delegates and Alternates. Delegates: Soprano-Abi Fry, Alto-Aleya Fry, Tenor-Ashleigh Fry, Bass-Weston Uttecht. Alternates: Soprano-Taylor Lindsey, Alto-Lauren Johnson, and Tenor-Kaitlin Brueske.

The South Dakota FFA Foundation is accepting applications for the Blue Jackets FFA program.  SC/W FFA can submit 5 applications to the Foundation.  The program provides a scholarship to pay for a member’s FFA jacket and tie/scarf.  Freshmen are encouraged to submit an application.

Woonsocket Community Library

Our next Scholastic Book Fair is right around the corner on Thursday, September 14th, from 7:30AM to 7:00PM! Our goal this year is to reach $2000.00 in sales!

Students will have opportunities on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday next week to walk through the library and choose books they may want to purchase. We’ll also have fun stationery items like pens, erasers, bookmarks, and posters for sale!

4-19-17 Red Day


Eligibility will be taken on Monday, May 1st.

Play students will be dismissed tomorrow at 11:45 for lunch.   Everyone else will be dismissed at 1:20PM for the play.  4th block will be cancelled.

Please remember your $1 for the student matinee on Thursday. Money will be collected at the entrance of the Community Center for grades 7-12. Teachers will be collecting money for the elementary students. Adult prices will be $5.00 for the matinee (1:30 Thursday)  and evening (7:00 Thursday) performance. Students attending the evening performance will be charged $3.00

Students attending State FFA Conventions: Carter, Megan, Wesley, Taryn, Aaron, Nathan, Jared, Ty, Kyla, Callie, Shaun, Colton, Nick, Kaylee, Josie, Alissa

Prom Meal forms can be picked up in Luci's office. Need to be returned by Friday, April 21.

All students going to Post Prom need to stop in Chris’s office and pick up a parent permission slip for them and their date. It needs to be returned to the school by Friday, April 21.

Coke Products are changing it's program to an app on a smart phone and details are not complete at this time. The pop caps and codes from the boxes are no longer being accepted. If the new program allows transfer of points to the school library, I will let you. Thank You, Pat Carsrud

Used ink and toner cartridges being accepted for recycling by the funding factory include Brother, Canon, HP and Lexmark Brands. These items may be dropped off at the library. Thank You

                If you are loading in Artesian, please bear in mind that delays are possible.

During the beginning of this week, State Convention agreements and SD FFA forms and waivers will be coming home.  They need to be returned to Mr. Gross by the end of the week.  There are duplicate of certain forms.  Please complete all the forms.  One set of those forms must be turned in to the state and one form must be kept by the Advisor.  Please read them fully so you can understand the expectations and rules.
