Triple AAA School Awards Banquet & Potluck - Monday, May 6th, 2024 – 6:00 p.m.

The Woonsocket school will host the annual Triple AAA awards banquet and potluck supper on Monday, May 6th, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. in the gymnasium. We will eat at 6:00 p.m. with Academic, Activity, and Athletic awards to follow. Please bring a hotdish, side dish, or dessert (with serving utensil) to share. Plates, napkins, silverware, and drinks will be furnished. Everyone is welcome and we hope to see you there to honor and support our students. 


SCW FFA Chapter Banquet will be held on Tuesday, May 14th at SC gym at 6:00pm. 9th - 11th grade bring main dish, 10th - 12th grade bring desserts or salads.


The SD HS Activities Association has released their 2024-25 sports schedule. Click here to see our SCW Blackhawks sporting event schedule for next year.

The school year is quickly winding down, and we would like to sneak a few gatherings in yet. With that, the remaining Devoted Students events are planned for May 14th @ 6:00 p.m.  Any 7th -12th grade students are invited to attend. Dakota Dreams Summer Camp
Students entering 7th and 8th grade in the 2024-2025 school year can participate in free, five-day residential career exploration camps this summer. Hosted on South Dakota college campuses, these camps expose students to various career paths through fun, engaging and hands-on learning. Throughout the week, campers will spend time with instructors, take field trips to area businesses, participate in interactive exercises and more, gaining a better understanding of themselves, their career interests and how their education prepares them for professions. Pre-Eligibility will be printed Wednesday and Eligibility will be printed on Friday, both at 10:45AM each week.


Substitute Teachers
The Woonsocket School District is looking for individuals who are interested in being substitute teachers in the elementary and/or high school.  Individuals who are interested need, at minimum, a high school diploma.  Substitute Teacher Pay: Non-certified - $100.00/day, Certified - $120.00/day, Long term (after 5 consecutive days) $130.00/dayPlease contact the school at 796-4431.

South Dakota students and families can access a new, online tutoring program, staffed by college students who are preparing to become teachers. The Dakota Dreams Online Tutoring Program offers FREE online tutoring to K-12 students across the state. One-on-one tutoring sessions can help students with their homework, tackle specific trouble areas, and address broader educational concepts.
