☕Band students will be doing a fundraiser from January 16th through January 31st! They will be selling "Driven Coffee, Tea and Popcorn/trail Mix"!  Click here to check out the items for sale. 
The fundraiser is going toward new band uniforms/equipment and towards upcoming Band trips!  Please see any 5th-12th grade band student for your coffee needs! 



🏐5th & 6th Girls Volleyball
If your student is interested in playing 5th/6th volleyball, please fill out the attached form. Forms are due by February 13th. Forms will also be sent home with students. 


CTE (Career & Technical Education) Program Survey

Attention high school students and parents – please take a minute and complete the below survey regarding our CTE programs. The state is completing its regularly scheduled assessment to ensure CTE programs continue having a solid strategic plan for CTE in their area that benefits both students and industry. The forms will collect data through February 15, 2024.



📣Little Hawks Cheer Camp
The SCW Cheerleaders will be putting on a camp for PK4-6th grade students on Saturday, February 10th. They will also get the chance to cheer at the boys and girls home basketball game on February 13th. Click here for more information. Registration forms will be sent home with students. 


Sanborn County Conservation District Speech Contest
Local contest will be held March 4th, 2024 at 1:00pm for any student attending high school (public, private, or home school), grades 9-12. Click here for additional contest rules and entry information. Interested students may want to stop by the NRCS/Conservation District office for print publications available that may prove as helpful resources on the speech contest topic.


Devoted Students

The next two Devoted Students events are planned for January 22nd and February 26th @ 6:00 p.m.  Any 7th -12th grade students are invited to attend. We will meet in Mrs. Rodriguez’s room with supper and a study provided. Please RSVP by letting either of us know, or by sending us a quick message, so we can plan an appropriate amount of food. Thank you, and we look forward to seeing you there! 🙂

Eligibility
Pre-Eligibility will be printed Wednesday and Eligibility will be printed on Friday, both at 10:45AM each week.


Substitute Teachers
The Woonsocket School District is looking for individuals who are interested in being substitute teachers in the elementary and/or high school.  Individuals who are interested need, at minimum, a high school diploma.  Substitute Teacher Pay: Non-certified - $100.00/day, Certified - $120.00/day, Long term (after 5 consecutive days) $130.00/day. Please contact the school at 796-4431.

South Dakota students and families can access a new, online tutoring program, staffed by college students who are preparing to become teachers. The Dakota Dreams Online Tutoring Program offers FREE online tutoring to K-12 students across the state. One-on-one tutoring sessions can help students with their homework, tackle specific trouble areas, and address broader educational concepts.

The pre-sale for state Wrestling tickets is now available. All of these sales must go through the Wessington Springs school. Pre-sale tickets are all tournament tickets for reserve seating. Each ticket is $50. If anyone wishes to order pre-sale reserved seating please get number of tickets you want and check to your local school by Monday, January 29. All checks should be made out to Wessington Springs Schools.
