5th/6th Spring Volleyball

The Dakota Dreams Online Tutoring Program offers FREE online tutoring to K-12 students across the state. One-on-one tutoring sessions can help students with their homework, tackle specific trouble areas, and address broader educational concepts.

Counseling Corner


Boys State - May 29 - June 2, 2023 @ Northern State University in Aberdeen, SD. Click here for additional information. Boys must be a high school Junior or Senior who have never attended Boys State before.

SD Farm Bureau Scholarship - South Dakota Farm Bureau is once again awarding scholarships to young people who have a passion for agriculture and whose parents/guardians are current members of South Dakota Farm Bureau. Applicants can be considered for an agriculture-focused or community-focused scholarship, depending on their major and experience with agriculture. Click here for more information and application link. Application deadline is March 15th. 

Santel Communications Ray Judy Memorial Scholarship. 10 scholarships ($750) will be awarded based upon the quality and quantity of community service and school activity participation as well as the quality of the essay. See attached for additional information and application. Scholarship entries must be submitted no later than 5:00pm on Friday, March 17th. 

Agtegra Agriculture Scholarship - Agtegra is offering 10 scholarships, $500 value, to high schoolers graduating in the class of 2023. Additionally, Agtegra is offering 1 collegiate scholarship, $1,000 value, for current college students. Scholarship eligibility: must plan to attend a 2 or 4 year post-secondary institution in SD or ND, must plan to pursue or currently pursue an agricultural degree/program, and must be a U.S. citizen. Click here for more information and for the scholarship application. Applications are due March 31st. 

Woonsocket American Legion Post 29 is proud to offer a $500 scholarship for a graduating Woonsocket High School Senior. Click here for application. Applications must be received or postmarked by April 15th.  

Weskota Foundation  awards three scholarships to a high school senior going into a healthcare related field. It is open to any senior at these high schools: Wessington Springs, Woonsocket, Sanborn Central, White Lake and Plankinton. This year the amount has been raised to $750 each!  

We are also the trustees of the Rueben and Edna Butz scholarship fund which awards a scholarship to one HS senior and one post-secondary student in a health care related field. These students must be from Jerauld County. These scholarships are also $750 each.
Please remind students to go to their school counselor or come to the hospital business office for an application. 

Independent Insurance Agents of South Dakota. Apply today for "Servince Other Scholarship". Please visit sd.insure/scholarship or see attached for additional information. Applications due by April 15th. 

Plains Commerce Bank Scholarships - The Mitchell branch has (2) $500 scholarships available to be awarded to graduating high school seniors who plan to attend a post-secondary SD college, university, or vocational technical school on a full-time basis. Please click here for additional details, eligibility requirements, and application. Applications are due by April 15th. 

CHS Scholarships:
