JH & JV Football vs BEE @ Bridgewater - 3:30pm. JH-JV bus leaves springs at 1:45 pm on Monday from Springs and will pick up Woonsocket and Sanborn players along the way. Both games will be played at 3:30 pm so players and parents can make it back to respective schools for coronation.

5th/6th Grade basketball practice starts today at Sanborn. Link to Schedule.

On Monday, Sept. 26, Coronation will begin at 8:00pm in the Woonsocket Gym. There will be introductions for Football/Volleyball/Cross Country/Cheerleaders, etc. and other activities including burning of the “W” built by the freshmen class.

On Friday the Sept. 30, the Woonsocket School will have their annual Blackhawk parade starting at 1:00pm. The theme this year (voted on by the student council) is “Board Games”. Businesses who are interested in participating in the parade can sign up when lining up for the parade at 12:30 by PVCC. The football game against the Mobridge-Pollock Tigers will start at 7:00pm in Wessington Springs.

I’m also asking students and alumni to be respectful towards our community when celebrating traditions during the week of festivities.

Homecoming is arriving quickly and we hope the community gets involved as much as the school. This is one of the biggest events of the year, so let’s make it memorable for everyone. Go Blackhawks! - Mr. Weber
