On Monday, Sept. 26, Coronation will begin at 8:00pm in the Woonsocket Gym. There will be introductions for Football/Volleyball/Cross Country/Cheerleaders, etc. and other activities including burning of the “W” built by the freshmen class.

On Friday the Sept. 30, the Woonsocket School will have their annual Blackhawk parade starting at 1:00pm. The theme this year (voted on by the student council) is “Board Games”. Businesses who are interested in participating in the parade can sign up when lining up for the parade at 12:30 by PVCC. The football game against the Mobridge-Pollock Tigers will start at 7:00pm in Wessington Springs.

I’m also asking students and alumni to be respectful towards our community when celebrating traditions during the week of festivities.

Homecoming is arriving quickly and we hope the community gets involved as much as the school. This is one of the biggest events of the year, so let’s make it memorable for everyone. Go Blackhawks! - Mr. Weber

Senior Night for Blackhawk football will be this Friday. 
At 6:50 pm, with 5 minutes remaining on the scoreboard, we will announce Seniors and their parents.   When announced we ask players and parents to walk out to the #50 on the field to be recognized.

Dig Pink Night - October 18th
Jeslynn Moody is hosting Dig Pink Night on October 18th as her Senior Project. 🎗🎗
Attached is the t-shirt order form. If interested in purchasing, please have them turned into SC or Woonsocket school or to Jeslynn by October 5th.
All proceeds from the event will go to Sanborn County families to help cover medical expenses.
If you are willing to donate a silent auction item please message me or drop off items with Luci at the Woonsocket School.

Western Dakota Tech will be hosting a Career Expo on October 6th, 2022, for high school juniors and seniors, 8:30 - 12pm at The Monument - Rushmore 5.

Food Pantry/Feeding SD - October 5, 2022

The next food giveaway will be held at the Sanborn County Courthouse in Woonsocket starting at 4:30 (until gone). This is Drive-Through ONLY, one box per family. Click here for flyer information.


Flu Shots:

The Sanborn County Health Nurse will be offering flu vaccines to the public starting at 5:00pm on October 11th during the volleyball game in the Woonsocket Library. No payment required at that time, but please bring your Insurance/Medicaid card.


Craft and Vendor Fair -- Saturday, October 8th

Woonsocket Community Center 10:00 to 3:00
