The Black Hawk boys competed in the JVC Junior High basketball tournament on Saturday. The boys lost their first game in a back and forth affair to Wessington Springs 36-31. Leading the way for the Black Hawks was Tyson Kokesh with 8 points. Riley Kneen and Cole Wilson each added 8 and 7 points respectively. In the second game of the day, the Black Hawks were victorious against Mitchell Christian, 34-28. Carter Edwards led the Black Hawks with 15 points and Layton Zoss had his best game of the year adding 7 points in the winning effort. The Black Hawks next game is against White Lake at White Lake on Monday. -- Coach Steele

Woonsocket Community Care & Learning Center Meeting
When: January 18th, 2023
Where: Community Center
Time: 6:00pm
This meeting is being held to address the daycare needs in the Woonsocket area. School Board, city representatives, daycare providers, and parents are all encouraged to attend this meeting. Who will provide for our children as more babies are being born and the need for childcare is increasing? This meeting is open to the public.
