Our next Devoted Students night will be on Monday, March 13th! We will meet in the Woonsocket commons at 6:00 with supper, games, and a study provided. Counseling Corner
SD Farm Bureau Scholarship - South Dakota Farm Bureau is once again awarding scholarships to young people who have a passion for agriculture and whose parents/guardians are current members of South Dakota Farm Bureau. Applicants can be considered for an agriculture-focused or community-focused scholarship, depending on their major and experience with agriculture. Click here for more information and application link. Application deadline is March 15th.
Santel Communications Ray Judy Memorial Scholarship. 10 scholarships ($750) will be awarded based upon the quality and quantity of community service and school activity participation as well as the quality of the essay. See attached for additional information and application. Scholarship entries must be submitted no later than 5:00pm on Friday, March 17th.
Agtegra Agriculture Scholarship - Agtegra is offering 10 scholarships, $500 value, to high schoolers graduating in the class of 2023. Additionally, Agtegra is offering 1 collegiate scholarship, $1,000 value, for current college students. Scholarship eligibility: must plan to attend a 2 or 4 year post-secondary institution in SD or ND, must plan to pursue or currently pursue an agricultural degree/program, and must be a U.S. citizen. Woonsocket American Legion Post 29 is proud to offer a $500 scholarship for a graduating Woonsocket High School Senior. Click here for application. Applications must be received or postmarked by April 15th.
Weskota Foundation awards three scholarships to a high school senior going into a healthcare related field. It is open to any senior at these high schools: Wessington Springs, Woonsocket, Sanborn Central, White Lake and Plankinton. This year the amount has been raised to $750 each!
- CHS Farmers Alliance Scholarship (attached PDF).
- 2 - $2,000 scholarships for high school seniors
- Due April 3rd
- CHS Foundation Scholarship opportunities through participating colleges
- South Dakota State, Mitchell Tech, Lake Area Tech are supported as well as other select out of state schools

- Build Dakota Scholarship (Due March 31st)
- CHS is proud to partner with Mitchell Tech and Lake Area Tech’s Agronomy, Ag Business, and Precision Ag Programs
- Full ride scholarships for students
i. Must attend MTC or LATC for 1 of the above majors
ii. Must intern and work for CHS within the state of South Dakota after college graduation for 3 years
iii. This is a relatively new program for ag (going into year 4) and CHS is ramping up and partnering with more students each year

- CHS Workforce Scholarships
- CHS does offer opportunity for tuition help in Ag programs that don’t qualify for the Build Dakota Fund
