GB/BB vs Corsica/Stickney @ Corsica (make-up game) - Schedule is as follows: 4pm girls JV,  5pm boys JV, 6:15 pm girls varsity and then boys varsity. All games at high school gym. Leave times for today are 2:15 from Sanborn and 2:30 from Woonsocket.

JH GB/BB vs Wolsey/Wessington @ Wolsey - 6:00

ASVAB Test Results will be read during 1^st block on Monday, February 6^th in Mrs. Kohlmeyer's room. 

5th/6th Spring Volleyball

I am looking forward to another year of 5th and 6th grade volleyball.  I am working on scheduling a few games and practices.  Depending on how many girls participate, we may also set up some scrimmages.  I am planning on two or three practices or games a week. This will run through the months of March and the first part of April.

Post Prom

Post Prom will be hosting two meal fundraisers Saturday, Feb 4 at the Wolsey Wessington Double Header and Friday, Feb 10 at the Highmore Harold Double Header.  We are asking each class to assist in contributing to the meals.  Any items remaining after the meals will be utilized for Post Prom.  Items should be dropped off at the school.  Thanks for contributing. 
Saturday, Feb 4 Meal – Hot Ham and Cheese Sandwich Meal -
Freshman Girls – 2 dozen cookies or bars.  Please drop off at High School prior to noon on Saturday.

Devoted Students

Our next Devoted Students night will be on Monday, February 13th!  We will meet in the Woonsocket commons at 6:00 again (after basketball practice) with supper, games, and a study provided. Counseling Corner

SDSU has rescheduled the school visit for February 8^th from 11:00-11:30.

Boys State - May 29 - June 2, 2023 @ Northern State University in Aberdeen, SD.

SD Farm Bureau Scholarship - South Dakota Farm Bureau is once again awarding scholarships to young people who have a passion for agriculture and whose parents/guardians are current members of South Dakota Farm Bureau. Applicants can be considered for an agriculture-focused or community-focused scholarship, depending on their major and experience with agriculture. Woonsocket American Legion Post 29 is proud to offer a $500 scholarship for a graduating Woonsocket High School Senior. Click here for application. Applications must be received or postmarked by April 15th. 

Weskota Foundation  awards three scholarships to a high school senior going into a healthcare related field. It is open to any senior at these high schools: Wessington Springs, Woonsocket, Sanborn Central, White Lake and Plankinton. This year the amount has been raised to $750 each!  

We are also the trustees of the Rueben and Edna Butz scholarship fund which awards a scholarship to one HS senior and one post-secondary student in a health care related field. These students must be from Jerauld County. These scholarships are also $750 each.

Please remind students to go to their school counselor or come to the hospital business office for an application. The scholarship applications will be mailed to the HS counselors on January 30.
