Dig Pink Night will be held October 24th at the volleyball game versus Mt. Vernon/Plankinton in Sanborn Central. The schools will be putting together some baskets for a silent auction on Dig Pink Night.  We ask each student to donate $1.00. Their donations can be given to their teacher or Sarah Jensen by October 20th. We will put together 5 baskets with your donations (PK - 2, 3 -5, 6-8, HS and faculty). 

Student Council members will be collecting $5 this week from 7th-12th grade students; which will allow hats to be worn in school on Thursday and Friday, October 19th & 20th. The money collected will be given to the Dig Pink VB game fundraiser.

Football Cheerleaders if you have not paid Signature Plus for your jersey.  Please do so ASAP.  You can bring the money to Shelley or Sarah Swenson - $50.

Health Screenings
The Community Health Nurse will be performing screenings on the following grades: K, 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, & 10. Attached is a declination form if you do not want your child to be screened.


Winter High School Golf League 🏌
Two man best ball format, grades 8-12. League will be played on Sunday evenings. $65/person - $130/team. Sign up at the Back 9. Registration closes Nov 1st. 



3rd & 4th Grade Boys Basketball
If your son is interested in playing basketball, please fill out the attached form. Forms were also sent home with 3rd & 4th grade boys. 


Art to Remember
Our school is participating in a creative fundraiser with Art to Remember that allows you to purchase keepsake products customized with your child's art. There are over 60 products and many are less than $15. These make great gifts and a percentage of every purchase goes right back to our school. Halloween Festival 🎃👻
Saturday, October 28th from 4-6 the Sanborn Central Woonsocket FFA will be hosting a Halloween Festival at the SC gym. Cost is $5 per family. More information here

Substitute Teachers
The Woonsocket School District is looking for individuals who are interested in being substitute teachers in the elementary and/or high school.  Individuals who are interested need, at minimum, a high school diploma.  Substitute Teacher Pay: Non-certified - $100.00/day, Certified - $120.00/day, Long term (after 5 consecutive days) $130.00/dayPlease contact the school at 796-4431.

Free, online tutoring available for K-12 students
South Dakota students and families can access a new, online tutoring program, staffed by college students who are preparing to become teachers. The Dakota Dreams Online Tutoring Program offers FREE online tutoring to K-12 students across the state. One-on-one tutoring sessions can help students with their homework, tackle specific trouble areas, and address broader educational concepts.

Spirit of Faith Wednesday Night Live starts Wed, October 4th, 5:30-6:45 PM. Open to all students PreK4 – 6th grade.

Letcher Community Center Supper & Pheasant Opener Breakfast

A few of our area students from Sanborn/Jerauld County are attending National 4-H congress in Atlanta, Georgia in November.  Come help them support their trip on October 21st at the Letcher Community Center from 5:30-8:30 with a free will donation supper. Fun filled night with silent and live auction items. Free popcorn and fun! 

A community Pheasant Opener Breakfast will also be served Sunday morning, October 22nd from 8:30-12:30 at Letcher Community Center. Bring your hunters!

Swenson's Pumpkin Patch will be open 11am-4pm every Saturday and Sunday in October.
