Happy National 4-H Week!
Did you know, in 4‑H programs, kids and teens complete hands-on projects in areas like health, science, agriculture and civic engagement in a positive environment where they receive guidance from adult mentors and are encouraged to take on proactive leadership roles. Kids experience 4‑H in every county in the country through in-school and after-school programs, school and community clubs and 4‑H camps. Substitute Teachers
The Woonsocket School District is looking for individuals who are interested in being substitute teachers in the elementary and/or high school. Individuals who are interested need, at minimum, a high school diploma. Substitute Teacher Pay: Non-certified - $100.00/day, Certified - $120.00/day, Long term (after 5 consecutive days) $130.00/day. Free, online tutoring available for K-12 students
South Dakota students and families can access a new, online tutoring program, staffed by college students who are preparing to become teachers. The Dakota Dreams Online Tutoring Program offers FREE online tutoring to K-12 students across the state. One-on-one tutoring sessions can help students with their homework, tackle specific trouble areas, and address broader educational concepts.

The following students will be attending the Choral Leadership Workshop at NSU in Aberdeen on Wednesday, October 4th: Emilie, Kyla, Chase, Eli F, Tatiana, Brigitte, Corey, Alex, Halle, & Ryan. The bus will leave Sanborn Central at 6:00 am and Woonsocket at 6:15 am. Students will need to bring their music folders, pencils, water bottles, and lunch money. We will return to the school at approximately 4:30 pm.

Letcher Community Center Supper & Pheasant Opener Breakfast
A few of our area students from Sanborn/Jerauld County are attending National 4-H congress in Atlanta, Georgia in November. Come help them support their trip on October 21st at the Letcher Community Center from 5:30-8:30 with a free will donation supper. Fun filled night with silent and live auction items. Free popcorn and fun!
A community Pheasant Opener Breakfast will also be served Sunday morning the 22nd from 8:30-12:30 at Letcher Community Center. Bring your hunters!
Pumpkin Patch
Olinger's will be offering wagon and horse rides at Swenson's Pumpkin Patch on Saturday, October 7th - 11am-4pm. Take a wagon ride and pick out your favorite pumpkin! Tickets can be bought at the entrance.
Swenson's Pumpkin Patch will be open 11am-4pm every Saturday and Sunday in October.
