4-H Week! Did you know that for more than 100 years, 4‑H has welcomed young people of all beliefs and backgrounds, giving youth a voice to express who they are and how they make their lives and communities better. 4-H has given our 4-H members and families the opportunity to give back to our community in so many ways through leadership and volunteering!

The Town–N–Kountry Kids 4-H Club will be leading a 4-H Assembly on Wednesday at 2:30! We can’t wait to share information about 4-H.

Substitute Teachers
The Woonsocket School District is looking for individuals who are interested in being substitute teachers in the elementary and/or high school. Individuals who are interested need, at minimum, a high school diploma. Substitute Teacher Pay: Non-certified - $100.00/day, Certified - $120.00/day, Long term (after 5 consecutive days) $130.00/day. Free, online tutoring available for K-12 students
South Dakota students and families can access a new, online tutoring program, staffed by college students who are preparing to become teachers. The Dakota Dreams Online Tutoring Program offers FREE online tutoring to K-12 students across the state. One-on-one tutoring sessions can help students with their homework, tackle specific trouble areas, and address broader educational concepts.

The following students will be attending the Choral Leadership Workshop at NSU in Aberdeen on Wednesday, October 4th: Emilie, Kyla, Chase, Eli F, Tatiana, Brigitte, Corey, Alex, Halle, & Ryan. The bus will leave Sanborn Central at 6:00 am and Woonsocket at 6:15 am. Students will need to bring their music folders, pencils, water bottles, and lunch money. We will return to the school at approximately 4:30 pm.

Letcher Community Center Supper & Pheasant Opener Breakfast
A few of our area students from Sanborn/Jerauld County are attending National 4-H congress in Atlanta, Georgia in November. Come help them support their trip on October 21st at the Letcher Community Center from 5:30-8:30 with a free will donation supper. Fun filled night with silent and live auction items. Free popcorn and fun!
A community Pheasant Opener Breakfast will also be served Sunday morning the 22nd from 8:30-12:30 at Letcher Community Center. Bring your hunters!
